The President of the Jordanian Optometrists Association, Mr. Nizar Damati, paid an important visit to Amman Ahliyya University, where he met with Dr. Yazan Qamouh, Head of the Optometry Department, and Dr. Noha Mahjoub. The visit aimed to discuss and enhance the collaborative work between the Association and the University by drafting a joint action plan aimed at improving health and vision services in the field of optometry. During the visit, the focus was on finding appropriate opportunities and ways for academics to improve and develop vision services, which contributes significantly to enhancing the health and safety of vision care for the Jordanian community. This initiative comes within the framework of the ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation between academic institutions and professional associations, as such partnerships are essential to improving the quality of care in the field of optometry. This partnership is expected to result in training programs and joint research initiatives aimed at raising the efficiency of workers in this field and developing their skills, which will benefit patients and society in general. This cooperation reflects the association and the university’s commitment to providing the best possible health services and working to improve the quality of visual life.
